What a story to tell behind our Cookie Poole..... Who would have ever believed one little runt puppy out of a litter of ten would bring complete strangers together as family? Never under estimate divine intervention!!!! Yes, little Cook Cook the puppy that could has done just that.

The Mains have new family members Ron and Linda. I must say that our friendship began with Aubrey... It seems Ron and Linda were quite enthralled with our Aubrey. Of course we feel she is a special young lady, so it was no surprise to us that they would enjoy visiting with her. Ron and Linda have no children of their own, but now seem to have plenty of Grandchildren!!! They have adopted the Mains as Family, and we feel they too are family members to us. We have enjoyed our friendship over the past few years with our friendship and fellowship blossoming.

We have enjoyed Thanksgiving Holiday in the wonderful little mountain town of Saluda North Carolina. I do say it is a little piece of heaven on earth. Ron and Linda have an absolutely beautiful home nestled up in the mountains on a tranquil little lake. I have never seen so many beautiful mountain streams and waterfalls right in your back yard. We just don't have that in Illinois...

Our friendship has taken us back to Saluda at least once or twice a year now. We have enjoyed Ron and Linda giving us the tour of North Carolina and South Carolina. Mrytle Beach is a new family favorite vacation spot. Aubrey has visited three summers in a row now!! As she is getting older and more responsibilities it is going to be harder for her to get away, but I think our traditional beach vacations with the Pooles are something the whole family plans on year to year.

Oh, yes and Cookie... well she is one of the most beautiful cockers I have produced. She is spoiled rotten and enjoys a very pampered life style. She goes to the salon once a week for a bath and brushing and very regular groomings. She is very playful and can be found almost non stop playing with her ball. Linda is always willing to dig it out from under a piece of furniture for her, only to do it again. Cookie enjoys car rides down the mountain to do errands with Ron and Linda. Cookie and Ron can be found visiting with the locals from the comfort of the car while Linda is running here and there.

If you ever make it to Saluda and you happen upon the most beautiful buff cocker spaniel you have ever seen you know you have met the Pooles and their beloved Cook Cook!!
