I have dedicated this page to help the common pet owner decide upon which sex may better suit their needs.

I am happy to say that over the last 24 years I have seen a significant upswing in the number of educated families, these are families that are committed to finding the right puppy for their homes.

I can remember years ago when people believed (foolishly I might add) that the only dog worth having was a female. I'm only in my 40's so I can't really say how this came about.

I have a general rule when placing my puppies. Remember I want only the best environment for my pups be it a male or a female. So please take what I have to say seriously......

Females are placed in a quiet homelife. Empty Nesters, Older couples, or families who have older age children who aren't around much. As a female matures she will develop cat like tendancies with finding a quiet place and sleeping the day away. She may develop territorial issues as well.

Males are preferably placed in homes with active age children, or with those that are active in events and are on the go. Boys love the action, they love to go places and are generally more even tempered when meeting new dogs. Boys seem to remain young at heart forever.

Both sexes are wonderful and will make a great pet. You do however need to take these things into consideration for the well being of the puppy and your family. Of course with any pet, proper training and good manners insures a well rounded and much loved new family member by friends and family alike.

Both sexes need to be spayed or neutered to insure the best disposition possible.
